But we will not let you spend all your time in a warm, comfortable car. Apart from driving fast you will learn how to survive in extreme conditions in cold northern forest. So when you go back home you will know how to get your next meal by fishing through the ice, how to make a fire in open wilderness when the temperature is as low as –20C or how to build Lapps´ traditional instant hut for sleeping in deep snow. You will also have an opportunity to learn how to set traps for wild animals.

For local hunters and fishermen a snow mobile is as familiar as a car is for you. The participants of Driving Academy will also learn to drive a snow mobile, also at the very demanding conditions, in very deep snow for example. And as in the old days a reindeer was the only means of transport, you will train and take a test in reindeer driving with a local reindeer herder. A reindeer driving licence is guaranteed for all participants! And for those of you who don´t find this challenging enough the best is to come: in Finnish sauna the temperature can be well over 80 degrees celsius, and straight from the sauna you can run to a lake. Yes, it is frozen, but we have hugged a hole in the ice for you to swim. The water will be about +2 degrees celcius… Skinny dipping through the ice from the sauna is said to be very good for you!
